I just knew my fellow Philadelphians were change makers!

It was my honor to speak at the .advocates breakfast on Friday morning.

We clarified what the removal of the black box warning meant for the use and prescribing of hormone therapy, untangled the truths about insurance coverage of hormone therapy, reviewed how evidence based menopause experts determine if the benefits of hormone therapy outweigh the risks and updated everyone on policy in Washington.

Most importantly, we LAUGHED together! Women’s healthcare is serious stuff, but laughter is also medicine 💜

Hey fellow Philly ladies and Philly guys - let’s make some noise! 🎉

I grew up in Philadelphia, where I learned resilience, grit, to order my cheesesteak with “whiz and onions” and the importance of community. It’s where I gained the confidence to ask “Why”, and when told no, to say, “Ok, watch me”.

That is why it feels especially meaningful to be returning home next month to speak at the Women’s Health Breakfast hosted by Women’s Health Advocates.

Join me and powerhouse Liz Powell, Esq., MPH for a meaningful conversation about the future of women’s healthcare - from perimenopause and menopause to access, equity, and how we can improve the systems to truly support women.

Giving back to my local community is a pillar of my advocacy work devoted to improving access to evidence-based peri/menopause care.

When women’s healthcare is your life’s work, you know peri/menopause care involves far more than just writing a prescription for hormones.

This past week, I had the pleasure of speaking with an inspiring group of women in Wheaton, Illinois, who gathered at to learn how the menopause transition can be a turning point, not an ending.

We explored how movement is medicine and how strength training is a cornerstone of healthspan, helping women feel strong, confident, manage weight, and protect their bones from osteoporosis.

Every conversation like this reminds me why I started this journey to make expert, compassionate peri/menopause care accessible to every woman, everywhere. 💜

💥 Yesterday, I learned a new term - “Bone Attack.”
Let me explain… as estrogen levels fall during perimenopause, your bones start to lose density.

Over time, this increases your risk of osteoporosis and what we might call a bone attack, otherwise known as a fracture.

🦴 Here’s the good news: Hormone therapy can prevent fractures by protecting bone density.

To all the women out there facing PMS symptoms: you are not alone! While we may all may feel a little irritable leading up to me**es, the definition includes 1 emotional and 1 physical symptom, (bloating, breast tenderness etc.), present for 3 consecutive months that interferes with daily life.

Exploring integrative approaches? Nutritional supplements like B6, E, Calcium, and Magnesium help. Limited evidence for Evening Primrose Oil, Ginkgo, or St. John’s Wort.
