Chronic constipation doesn’t just affect digestion. It puts constant strain on your pelvic floor:

➡️ Repeated straining can contribute to pelvic pain, prolapse, and muscle dysfunction over time.
➡️ How you sit, breathe, and push in the bathroom matters more than most people realize.
➡️ Addressing constipation is often a key part of pelvic floor treatment.

If gut issues and pelvic symptoms are showing up together, let’s address both. Book through the link in our bio 🔗

Everyone focuses on tearing. 🤰

Very few people talk about pelvic floor capacity.

Birth places real mechanical demand on the muscles and nerves that support bladder and bowel control. Symptoms aren’t determined by one moment, they’re determined by how much your pelvic floor can tolerate before it’s exceeded.

Pregnancy is often a stress test.

Leakage, urgency, or heaviness aren’t “normal”, they’re information. Even after a 3rd or 4th degree tear, most women won’t re-tear.

But recurrence isn’t the only issue.
➡️ You don’t need another tear to develop symptoms.
➡️ You need adequate capacity to tolerate another birth.

Pelvic floor PT can assess and improve strength, coordination, and lengthening, so you understand your risk and increase what your body can handle.

We can’t eliminate all risk, but we can measure it. Improve it. And plan with better information.

If you’re pregnant or planning another birth, this conversation matters. Let's chat 💬

Urgency and frequency aren't always about weakness ❌

Sometimes it's tight pelvic floor muscles or bad bladder habits. Pelvic floor therapy can help retrain muscles, improve bladder control, and reduce urgency so you're not planning your day around bathrooms.

Postpartum recovery isn't a countdown ⏰ It's a process.

Many people are told they should feel "back to normal" by 6 weeks postpartum. But medical clearance doesn't equal full recovery, and time alone doesn't determine readiness for exercise. 💯

What matters more:
✨ How your body manages pressure in the core
✨ Whether symptoms show up with movement
✨ How well your core and pelvic floor are supporting you under load

Whether you're 6 weeks, 6 months, or years postpartum, it's not too late to work toward your fitness goals. 🎯

Recovery is about function, not how much time has passed. 💪

Kegels aren’t a cure-all and for some people, they actually make symptoms worse.

Your pelvic floor is a muscle group. Like any muscle, it needs balance. Before starting exercises, the most important step is a proper pelvic floor assessment so you’re treating the right problem.

Book an assessment through the link in our bio and let’s figure out what your pelvic floor actually needs 👏
