Well, since it is snowing here at the Verne Bintz Company today, I thought it was worth resharing this Toe-tally fun fact...

Toe-tally fun fact: The wide, fur-covered paws of a snow leopard serve as natural snowshoes, helping to distribute its weight over soft snow and protect it from the cold. Snow leopards can travel over an incredible 25 miles in a single night!

Toetally fun fact: 1. With almost 8,000 nerves, it’s no wonder that feet win the award for “Most Ticklish Body Part.” But don’t lament the tickles–having ticklish feet means that all those nerves are firing correctly. Feet that don’t respond to a soft tickle could indicate a problem like neuropathy, or damage to the nerves and tissue of the foot.

TOEtally fun fact: Your toes are essential for balance, movement and weight bearing as their nerves send signals to the brain to control these activities. Without toes, your feet wouldn’t work at all. Toes constantly touch the ground as you move, but your big toes are the ones in charge. As they press down, they alert the brain that you are well balanced and ready to go. They also act as springs to push you off and keep you stable. If the function of your big toe is impaired for any reason (injury, misalignment or infection for example) you’ll struggle to balance or walk at all.
