Samantha first started talking with Glen Ellyn bariatric surgeon, Dr. Van Vallina, about weight loss surgery in her early 20s. Together, they decided it wasn’t her time yet. Five years later, at 508 pounds and facing high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and knee pain, she came back ready for a real change.

Today, after gastric bypass surgery, Samantha moves with more ease, shops in places she once avoided, and no longer needs her blood pressure medication. Most of all, she feels like she got her life back and had a gorgeous wedding.
