HELPFUL TIPS FROM YOUR HOME HEALTH NURSES 😉:

DID YOU KNOW?? 📢📢‼️‼️

DIABETES MELLITUS occurs when your body either does not produce enough insulin or cannot effectively use the insulin it does produce.

INSULIN is a hormone produced by the pancreas that helps glucose (sugar) from food enter the body's cells to be used for energy.

Diabetes is typically diagnosed through blood tests such as fasting blood glucose levels, a Hemoglobin A1C lab test or glucose tolerance test.

If left untreated, Diabetes can lead to serious health problems!!

Studies show both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes have genetic components, meaning they can be hereditary, but environmental and lifestyle factors play a significant role!

If you have any symptoms or have family history of Diabetes, it is crucial to let your Doctor know and be tested. It is always better to stay ahead of your health!

We at Parkview Hospital Home Health would love to help you maintain your overall health, monitor your vital signs, help you understand your condition, understand medications and help collaborate with your doctors to ensure you are getting the best care you deserve!

Remember, untreated or undiagnosed Diabetes is very dangerous... we are trained skilled nurses here to help you!

Please give us a call if you are interested in learning how to obtain a home health referral, or simply make an appointment with your primary care provider and ask for a referral to home health!

Physical therapy is crucial to your overall health maintenance and keeps you active which also helps your heart stay healthy! Ask about a referral for Physical therapy!!

We would be honored to care for you or your loved one! ❤️
