The NJ Coalition for Education and Positive Choices is a group that works hand and hand with many great organizations and agencies. By working alongside these agencies, we are leading impactful initiatives and sharing vital information that helps families better understand mental health wellness and combat drug and alcohol abuse. This group believes in something simple but powerful, when we give our children positive opportunities and safe, substance-free environments, we strengthen their confidence, their decision-making, and their future.
This incredible team is a proactive partnership of elected officials, law enforcement professionals, educators, and dedicated community members who remain vigilant and informed about the trends and challenges affecting today’s youth. Together, they are working to ensure our children feel supported, informed, and empowered.
On March 6th, families are invited to experience one of the Coalition’s most anticipated annual events — Law Enforcement Night.
This special evening brings together officers and departments from across the state in a setting that allows young people to interact with law enforcement in a positive, engaging, and inspiring way. Too often, our only interactions with first responders happen on our hardest days. Law Enforcement Night gives families the opportunity to connect on one of our best days.
Children and teens will have the chance to explore emergency vehicles of every kind, tour ambulances, see specialized equipment up close, visit the Morris County Hope Van, try on riot gear, and experience firsthand the tools and technology that help keep our communities safe. Even adults are often amazed by the impressive display of equipment gathered under one roof.
More importantly, this event fosters something far greater than curiosity — it builds relationships. For some teens, the evening sparks an interest in a future career in public service. For others, it simply strengthens trust and familiarity with the men and women who serve and protect them.
Law enforcement officers are trained not only to protect, but to ensure our children feel safe, seen, and valued. When young people feel confident and supported, they are better equipped to make positive choices and stand strong in the face of peer pressure.
We invite families from across Morris County to join us for this uplifting community celebration.
Together, we continue building safer neighborhoods — and stronger kids. For further information please email Thomas “Ace” Gallagher at acegallagher@gmail.com or Krista DiGiorgio at kdigiorgio@hanovertownship.com.
