Tonight on Hanukkah, the Lester Senior Living community came together to celebrate the Festival of Lights with a meaningful candle-lighting ceremony led by residents.

As the candles were lit, our community reflected on the values of hope, resilience, and togetherness that Hanukkah represents. Moments like these remind us that Lester is more than a place to live — it is a place where traditions are honored, connections are cherished, and community truly shines.

We are thrilled to share a very special milestone from our Narra Story Program.

A few months ago, we introduced this meaningful initiative designed to help our residents preserve their personal histories. Today, we are proud to announce that the books are complete — and each resident has received both a hardcover and paperback edition of their memoirs.

These are more than stories. They are cherished memories, life lessons, and legacies that families can hold onto for generations.

At our book reveal celebration, the families of our “Lester Authors” joined us to witness this heartfelt moment. Their joy in seeing their loved ones’ stories beautifully captured was truly unforgettable.

This was an extraordinary project to witness from start to finish, and we are honored to have been part of preserving these lasting memories.

🍋✨ Celebrating Sukkot at Lester! ✨🍋

We had a wonderful time welcoming special visitors who helped us decorate our beautiful sukkah and joined us for our Sukkot Harvest Festival! 🌿💫

A heartfelt thank you to Aelita Fitingof for her incredible performance — what an honor to have such a world-renowned artist grace our celebration. Aelita has performed across four continents, raised over seven million dollars for the State of Israel, and shared the stage with icons like Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Barry Manilow, Henry Kissinger, and even President Bill Clinton at the White House! 🇮🇱🎶

She performs in 16 languages, including French, Chinese, Russian, and Yiddish — and her talent brought so much joy to everyone at Lester.
