Spring is a season of discovery, and sometimes, discovery starts at the library! Participants from PAI-Oakdale spent time at the local library exploring new interests, browsing shelves, and practicing everyday skills. Some participants asked staff for help finding books and others took time choosing materials that matched their hobbies.

PAI recently joined advocates, providers and community members for Disability Services Day at the Capitol to raise awareness and share the importance of strong disability services across Minnesota.

Throughout the day, we heard from legislators, rallied in the rotunda and advocated for opportunities that promote independence and inclusion.

Join us at 10:00 am tomorrow, March 24th, at the Minnesota State Capitol for Disability Services Day at the Capitol!

PAI will be there alongside advocates, providers and community members from across the state, raising our voices, sharing stories, and advocating for stronger support and opportunities for people with disabilities.

Days like this remind us how powerful it is to come together and be heard. We hope to see you there as we stand up, speak out, and advocate for inclusion and access for all.

PAI–Oakdale enjoyed a sunny afternoon out in the community with a trip to Target and Starbucks. Adam and Davis had a great time cruising the aisles, searching for items that caught their attention and enjoying the chance to browse together. After their shopping trip, they stopped by Starbucks to relax and enjoy a treat. Spending time out in the community is always a favorite activity for these two!

The 2026 Disability Services Day at the Capitol, Minnesota’s largest rally celebrating and advocating for people with disabilities and the dedicated professionals who support them, is only one week away! On March 24th, hundreds of self-advocates, DSPs, families, friends, coworkers, and disability allies will gather at the Minnesota State Capitol Building. MOHR has put together suggestions to start preparing for the big day. All week, we will be sharing tips to get you ready for a great day of advocacy!

It’s always a great day for a visit to the Science Museum of Minnesota! Participants from PAI–Commerce spent part of their morning exploring the museum and enjoying the many hands-on exhibits. From interactive displays to engaging discoveries, the experience sparked curiosity, imagination and movement while giving everyone the chance to learn and explore together.

PAI had a wonderful time exhibiting at the MSSA (Minnesota Social Service Association) Conference! It was great to see our organization so well represented while connecting with so many passionate professionals who are dedicated to making an impact in their communities.

We also had a fun raffle giveaway at our booth! A special thank you to our very own billing specialist, Melissa, who generously hand-knitted the adorable stuffed animals that we raffled off. Congratulations to the lucky winners who took them home — we hope it brings lots of smiles!
