Trinity Health Senior Communities proudly celebrates this, the 40th or "ruby" anniversary of Spiritual Care Week. We recognize and thank our chaplains and all who serve our Mission through the art of chaplaincy, described so beautifully by St. Gregory:
"The scope of our art is to provide the soul with wings -- to rescue it from the world and give it to God, to watch over that which is in His image. If it abides, to take it by the hand. If it is in danger, to restore it. If ruined, to make Christ dwell in their heart by the Spirit. In short, it is to deify and bestow heavenly bliss upon one who belongs to the heavenly hosts."

We are all very proud of our Chief Operating Officer, Stacey Johnson, DNP, who represented Trinity Health Senior Communities well on Wednesday at LeadingAge Michigan's 2025 Leadership Institute. Stacey was a panelist for the breakout session "The Past Fifteen Years: The Aftermath of the Affordable Care Act," exploring how the organization's members have worked with programs and health systems toward value and outcomes since the emergence of the ACA.

We are having a "BERRY" good time this week learning about and tasting dishes with our monthly super food BERRIES.

In White Lake's monthly Wellness in Your Neighborhood, our dietitian discussed the health benefits of the different types of berries. These fruits offer a wealth of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. They are generally low in calories and rich in beneficial compounds like anthocyanins.

The residents enjoyed our homemade oatmeal berry bar bursting with blueberries , strawberries and raspberries. A delicious iced herbal tea was prepared incorporating blueberries and elderberries . The residents decided berries are natures candy!

On June 18, 90% of the colleagues (and some interested residents!) visited the Mission & Safety Fair at our Marycrest Independent & Assisted Living community in Livonia, MI. The Marycrest team offered a number of resources, reminders about the importance of self-care, and fun prizes!
