The current timeline to deliver Minnesota Care Force Incentive program bonuses remains on schedule. DHS expect to distribute award letters to employers by mid-June.

With 13,000 employers applying for the bonus on behalf of more than 130,000 care force workers, the interest has been unprecedented. Funding requests exceed the $84 million available, so the exact number of eligible employees must be calculated to determine final incentive payment amounts.

The process involves thorough verification checks, requiring additional review time. Committing to program integrity and fraud prevention means cross-referencing applications to eliminate duplication and ensure accuracy.

DHS goal remains to provide incentives to as many eligible direct support professionals as possible.
