SPECIAL NOTICE: Due to a medical appointment in Litle Rock yesterday, where I found I am ineligible for a kidney transplant at tis time, I was unable to complete a post for yesterday. However, for today, here's a post for February 5th and 6th. Also, for some reason, my computer swiped my almost completed post on the left 4 times, so I had to type it out on my computer. TODAY'S 2024 AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH(AAHM) POST ... DAY 3 APPEARS IN AN ABRIVIATED FOROMAT DUE TO A PRINTER MALFUNCTION. The lesson for today is a definition of positive critical cultural theory: "The expression of oneself and pride in their racial origin." In other words, the slogan of "Black Lives Matter," during a celebration of AAHM, it is appropriate to assume "All Lives Matter," therefore, it is appropriate to note that "All lives Matter!" This being said, the task for today's post is to indicate your ethnic origin by its name, and/or an image of yourself, family or a famous person you know who looks like you or someone different than you, identify them and what they've done. For example: Bob "Hubba Jubba" Moss: African American; a self-photo and; Elija McCoy, a Black inventor noted for having more patents approved than any other person in the USA! Completing this activity is a giant, unique and creative approach for transcending multicultural barriers, which is the very purpose of African American History Month. How 'bout that. Tomorrow's lesson: Why I am qualified to make these daily AAHM posts. Today's images: Believe it or not, I was into thoughts for transcending multicultural barriers (or positive critical cultural theory) in high school (1956) and early in my teaching career (1969).
