Do you know a senior with Alzheimer’s or other dementia, or a child with autism or developmental disability, who wanders/elopes and gets lost?

PROJECT LIFESAVER is a nationwide program that uses radio-frequency technology to find individuals who are lost and return them home safely. Individuals are fitted with special devices worn on a wrist or ankle, which have radio-frequency transmitters that produce a signal every second. Should someone become lost, Westchester County officers, who are trained and equipped, will be dispatched to search for the personalized signal to effectively find the individuals and bring them home safely.

This program is funded and operated by the Westchester County Departments of Public Safety, Senior Programs and Services, and Mental Health; by the NYS Office for Aging; and the US Dept of Health and Human Services.
