Our Story

Mona Jauhar, serves to encourage wellness in the community through nutrition consultations, natural foods education, individualized therapeutic meal plans, and counseling on intuitive balanced eating. Mona is a registered dietitian (RD), certified weight management specialist, and therapeutic lifestyle healthcare practitioner applying functional medicine to address the underlying causes of illness. Mona has dedicated her career to revolutionizing food-as-medicine in treatment and prevention of disease. Through her private practice, NutriAssets, has combined the strengths of both naturopathic and allopathic (standard American model of care) fields, practicing functional medicine that is guided by nature yet grounded in scientific discovery.

Mona has a mission to create public awareness regarding the significant role diet plays on our overall health. She addresses nutrition misconceptions and myths clarifying the extensive amount of confusing and conflicting information that often saturates the media. She helps her clients understand why nutrition claims are made and how they best apply to each individual for optimal outcomes. She discusses healthy eating tips while inspiring clients through the dynamic flavors and healing properties provided by natures “farmacy”. Mona shares cutting edge nutrition information with a realistic approach for wellness and disease prevention.

With a mission deeply rooted in the sustainability of our food systems, Mona teaches clients to navigate beyond industry manipulation with an “outside the box” approach to healthy eating. She promotes clean eating and works to unveil the hidden truth on toxins in our food system while sharing the significant health benefits of consuming local, organic, and wild, pasture-raised foods. Mona applies scientifically supported plant and bio-compounds to enhance a patient’s treatment outcomes while removing unnecessary medications. Rather than using a one-size fits all approach, Mona provides customized meal plans supported by up-to-date scientific research for a functional approach to healing the body and preventing disease.

In the medical community, Mona has made an impression through her dynamic approaches to treating people vs. diseases. As the dynamics of patient and doctor relationship shifts, patients are more actively and independently seeking medical information; Mona serves to marry the gap of the proactive individual to the traditional American medical provider. In addition to institutional recognition, Mona has seen an enthusiastic support from clinicians in the medical field including primary care physicians, internists, gynecologists endocrinologists, oncologists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, etc. through referrals, participation in group programs, in-practice development of treatment protocols, and individual consultations.
