Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating 2025 National Health Center Week at our health fairs last Wednesday and Friday. It was wonderful connecting with so many friendly faces at WCHC Mount Vernon, WCHC Greenburgh, and WCHC Yonkers.
We are grateful to our generous sponsors who provided food, music, and children’s activities, and to all the local community groups, organizations, and agencies who shared valuable healthcare resources. A special thanks to our dedicated WCHC staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make these events possible.

Thank you to our esteemed guests for joining us at the WCHC Greenburgh Community Health Fair on Friday, August 8, 2025, in celebration of National Health Center Week. Your ongoing support of community healthcare means the world to us. We are deeply honored to have been recognized by the New York State Governor’s Office for our work, and we look forward to providing access to care for those who might be excluded due to lack of insurance, financial constraints, or other vulnerabilities.

WCHC is proud to partner with the City of Mount Vernon Youth Bureau Summer Employment Program every year to provide learning internships for high school students interested in pursuing healthcare careers. Last Friday marked the conclusion of our interns’ summer experience, and to celebrate their hard work and dedication, our interns were invited to a special meeting with CEO Judith Watson and Mount Vernon Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard. During the meeting, the interns shared their experiences working at a community health center, while both leaders offered personal insights from their professional journeys. Ms. Watson and Mayor Patterson-Howard encouraged the students to carry forward their newfound knowledge and urged them to make a meaningful difference in their communities and future endeavors. We wish all our summer interns continued success.

Our partners mean the world to us. They provide invaluable support through guidance, event hosting, education, volunteers, publicity, financial resources, and medical expertise. When we need to mobilize quickly, whether for emerging health needs or pandemic response, our partners have consistently answered the call.
