Education never stops in dentistry.

Advances in implant surgery continue to reshape how clinicians approach treatment planning, surgical efficiency, and long-term patient outcomes. Programs that bring practitioners together to share techniques and clinical insights play a critical role in that progress.

This April, implant professionals will gather in New Hyde Park, NY to explore the One-Drill Protocol for implant systems, a technique designed to streamline osteotomy preparation while maintaining precision and minimizing trauma.

Laschal Surgical’s Dan Lasner will be attending, connecting with colleagues and continuing Laschal’s commitment to supporting clinical education across the dental community.

The program will feature Dr. Aeklavya Panjali, founder of the New York Implant Institute and a recognized international lecturer, sharing insights on:

• Efficient implant osteotomy preparation
• Innovations in implant surface technology
• Improving surgical workflow and predictability
• Hands-on implant learning for clinicians

With heavy hearts, our family shares the news of the passing of Dr. Jeffrey Lasner, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and visionary founder of Laschal Surgical.

Jeffrey was a man whose life was defined by curiosity, creativity, and an unwavering belief that things could always be made better. He never stopped asking questions, never stopped imagining new possibilities, and never stopped working to improve the tools that surgeons and dentists rely on every day.

What began as the ideas of one dentist who believed instruments could perform better eventually grew into innovations used by clinicians around the world. Jeffrey held numerous patents for medical and dental devices and spent decades collaborating with some of the profession’s leading minds to bring new ideas to life. Seeing his inventions help doctors and improve patient care brought him tremendous pride.

But to us, his greatest accomplishments were not the instruments he designed or the technologies he created. They were the moments spent with family, the conversations filled with laughter and ideas, and the love he shared so freely with the people around him.

Jeffrey was truly an outside-the-box thinker, someone who saw possibilities where others saw limits. He approached life with the same passion and determination that guided his work.

Above all else, he was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather. His family meant everything to him.

While we are heartbroken by his passing on March 4, 2026, we are grateful for the incredible life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind, in his family, in the many friendships he built over the years, and in the innovations that will continue to support clinicians for generations to come.

Thank you to the colleagues, friends, and members of the dental community who have already shared their memories and kindness with our family. Your words mean more than we can express.

Jeffrey will be deeply missed, but his spirit, his ideas, and his passion for innovation will live on

🩺 KOL Spotlight: Dr. Victor Sternberg

With over five decades dedicated to periodontics and implant dentistry, Dr. Victor Sternberg brings unmatched clinical experience and academic leadership to the profession.

Dr. Sternberg earned his B.S. from City College (1965), his D.D.S. from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (1969), and completed Graduate Periodontology studies at Columbia University. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corps before entering private practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry.

Today, he continues to shape the next generation of clinicians as an Associate Professor at Farleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry and Touro School of Dentistry, while lecturing for the American Academy of Periodontology and numerous study groups throughout the New York metropolitan area.

After decades in surgical practice, Dr. Sternberg understands the direct relationship between instrumentation and surgical outcomes.

In his words:
