Our own Katherine Buckley, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) White Plains Chapter, along with help from her daughter and other members of the chapter placing flags on the graves of 9 veterans at St. Paul's Church National Historic Site in Mt.Vernon. The graves of the Veteran's included those of the Revolutionary, Mexican, Civil, Spanish American, WWI and WWII wars. We honor all Veteran's today and every day.

As we begin to close out the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let us thank all of those who helped out in some way including our own White Plains Fire Department, who always raises money for this very important cause. Peter Lasher, a funeral director here as well as a White Plains Firefighter is very proud of his affiliation with this cause.
We pray for all of our loved ones who have been affected by this disease, both living and deceased and those who continue working to find a cure.
