Jenna Saidel Lebowich, MS, RDN founded Cook Learn Live in 2010 after spending 15 years working in Human Resources management and as an HR consultant in the hospitality and fitness industries. As a cooking teacher and culinary nutritionist, Jenna combines her knowledge of food and nutrition, her culinary skills, and her background in training and development. She is a graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration and holds an MS in Human Resources Development from Suffolk University. She trained as a Dietitian at Westchester Community College and Lehman College and completed her Dietetic Internship through Hunter College. Jenna is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and its practice groups for Food and Culinary Professionals and Nutrition Entrepreneurs. Jenna feels that food should not only be good for us, but that it has to taste good and be a good experience as well. She believes in the benefit of getting the majority of nutrients need from whole, unprocessed foods, the way our bodies were meant to process them, and in eating seasonally and locally whenever possible. Her classes, for both children and adults, combine technical cooking skills, food science, and nutrition with creativity and fun. Classes are taught in her White Plains kitchen as well as throughout Westchester and Southern Connecticut. She also provides nutrition counseling to individuals and families dealing with specific health issues or looking to live healthier lives through the foods they eat.
