White Plains Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) Certification, the highest level of stroke care accreditation in the U.S.! This recognition underscores our ability to provide advanced, evidence-based treatment for complex strokes with 24/7 access to specialized care, close to home for our patients.

Achieved less than two years after becoming a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, this milestone highlights the rapid growth of our Neurosciences program and the leadership of Dr. Rafael A. Ortiz, Executive Director of Neurosciences, and Dr. Paul Lleva, Director of Stroke Services. Congratulations to our Neurosciences team on this prestigious distinction!

During Nurses Week, we recognize the compassion, skill, and dedication of our nurses at White Plains Hospital, who make a difference in the lives of patients and families every day.

Like one patient who recently shared: “My nurse treated me like family. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask, explained everything with such patience, and made a difficult time feel a little less overwhelming. I will never forget her kindness.”

If a White Plains Hospital nurse has impacted your life, consider honoring them with a donation in their name or sharing a message of gratitude. Visit wphospital.org/nursesweek to learn more.
