Last week, White Plains Hospital proudly hosted its annual Geriatric Education Presentations & Fair, a full day of learning and connection for clinicians, social workers, caregivers, and support staff. The morning sessions focused on care initiatives and best practices in managing dementia, delirium, and fall prevention in older adults. In the afternoon, participants explored interactive workstations highlighting key aspects of geriatric care. A special thank-you to Kelly Gilligan, Co-Founder of Inspired Memory Care, for leading an engaging workshop on strategies to enhance hospital care for older adults.

Our team had the opportunity to connect with community members and share valuable education and resources on stress management, orthopedic health, cancer care, urology, dermatology, audiology, and preventive screenings. Families also enjoyed meeting Dr. Ted E. Bear!

We were especially excited to spotlight our new WPHPA Ambulatory Center in Scarsdale, located at 750 White Plains Road, where our expert providers are ready to care for you close to home.

The walk will take place on Saturday, October 19 at Manhattanville University, with check-in beginning at 9:00 AM and the walk starting at 9:45 AM. This week, White Plains Hospital hosted a Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Event in our Center for Advanced Medicine & Surgery, empowering our community with information to stay proactive about their health. Visitors connected with our clinical team to learn about annual gynecologic exams, HPV vaccination, and the importance of early detection for cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar cancers.
