The rise of the internet and social media has given rise to !
Cyberbullying can often be worse than traditional, face-to-face bullying because it can take place anytime, anywhere, and it allows perpetrators to remain anonymous.
Common mental health issues related to cyberbullying include stress and anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. A recent study found that children and young people under 25 who are victims of cyberbullying are more than twice as likely to self-harm and engage in suicidal behaviors (*citation below).
