The White River Junctioin VA Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited surgical complexity level 2 facility, caring for Veterans across the two state hospital service area of Vermont and New Hampshire. Located on a 64 acre hillside setting in the Upper Connecticut River Valley, the WRJ VAMC is a 60-bed primary and secondary care academic medical center. WRJ VAMC’s acute care services include a full range of primary, secondary, and specialty care. As an academic medical center, WRJ VAMC is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies that support clinical care, education, and research missions and drives WRJ VAMC’s emergency preparedness responsibilities. The WRJ VAMC is a member of the VA New England Healthcare System (VISN 1), which includes facilities in the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont). It operates outpatient clinics in five Vermont locations: Bennington, Brattleboro, Burlington, Newport, and Rutland; and two New Hampshire communities, Keene and Littleton.
