If you're already looking for vaccination opportunities before flu season comes back around, make sure that you mark your calendars for our 2nd drive and walk through event happening on Saturday, September 27th! ((📍70 North Main Street, White River Junction VT))

We will have flu vaccines, and a limited number available for individuals 65+ given on a first come, first served basis. We look forward to seeing you there!

**Please note that we are not able to vaccinate anyone under the age of 18**

Meet CSHIP Rising Star Intern Kevin Chou!

Kevin Chou, a Biological Sciences (Pre-Med) major will be entering his junior year at the University of VermontVermont. He already has aspirations of attending The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and becoming a Family Medicine Physician right in his home state of Vermont.

This summer, Kevin interned through the College Student Health Internship Program (CSHIP) at Good Neighbor Health Clinic & Red Logan Dental Clinic in White River Junction. There, he took the lead on key projects—including designing a comprehensive staff resource booklet to better serve patients facing challenges like food and housing insecurity.

“I felt like I was truly making a difference for the community I grew up in,” Kevin shared.

Elizabeth Franson, Executive Director at GNHC, said it best: “I was so pleased to share our summer season in partnership with the Southern Vermont AHEC CSHIP program. Kevin was a delight to have in clinic. His dedication to community health truly shone through and I am very excited for his future in medicine."

Friends of Mascoma Foundation has opened a permanent food pantry at the Enfield Police Station that is open on Wednesdays from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM! If you live within the Mascoma Valley Regional School District and are in need of food resources, consider connecting with them later today!

Spread the word! The Enfield Pantry has a permanent location at the old Enfield Police Station and is open on Wednesdays 3:30-6:00pm. The Canaan Pantry is now only open on Tuesdays 3:00-5:30pm.

Taitum joined the Red Logan Dental Clinic in December of last year as a Dental Assistant. During her time with the clinic, she has stepped up to fill in wherever is needed, all while working to complete her certification to become a Dental Hygienist. Thank you Taitum for all that you do to help around the clinic and the care you provide for our neighbors!

Yesterday, the dental clinic said 'Goodbye' to Madeline! During her externship with Red Logan Dental Clinic, Madeline assisted with patient care through cleanings, fillings, and patient x-rays. The experience that our externs gain through their rotations with the dental clinic is so important - it gives a perspective into what providing real rural care looks like, in hopes of inspiring more future providers to continue doing this work!

Thank you so much for all that you've done and learned during your time with us, Madeline. You will be missed!

We've heard from many of our patients about the importance of medication lock boxes. Whether due to housing insecurity, children, or pets, these boxes limit the potential of medications being accessed by others.

As our supply began to dwindle, we connected with Dartmouth Health's Injury Prevention Center to learn about ways we may be able to increase our supply. Thanks to their generous donation, we are now well stocked and able to provide these harm reduction materials to our patients! 🍎 Thank you!!

There will be a FREE dental clinic on Saturday September 20th from 9:00AM to 3:00PM at Cornerstone Community Center (14 Elk Street Hartford VT)! This clinic is open to both NH and VT residents with no other eligibility requirements.

Walk-ins are welcome or call to schedule an appointment!
