Here are 5 helpful tips for entering hospice care:
1. Ask questions: You have the right to know what’s going on and to make choices about your care.
2. Share what matters most: Whether it's being at home, spending time with family, or having quiet time, tell your care team what brings you comfort.
3. Use the support available: Hospice care includes more than just nurses. You can also talk to counselors, join support groups, get help from volunteers and more.
4. Let others help you: Accepting care doesn’t mean giving up. It means choosing comfort, connection, and a better quality of life.
5. Plan ahead: Getting legal and practical things in order early can help you and your family feel more at peace.

While it might be tempting to decorate your baby’s crib with blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals, they can be dangerous. A simple, empty crib is the safest place for your baby to sleep and helps lower the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and accidental suffocation. Here are a few helpful tips to keep your baby safe:

- Use a firm mattress with a tight-fitting sheet
- No blankets, pillows, bumpers, or toys
- Always place your baby on their back to sleep
