Mission: We harness the power of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to ensure that every child with autism or other neurodiverse profiles can find their voice to communicate effectively and with meaning, form positive and reciprocal connections with others, and develop the skills to shape the world around them as they see fit, so that they can live a life they value. Vision: Our vision is that every learner who walks through our doors leaves with fewer barriers and more tools to communicate, self-advocate, form meaningful relationships, and shape their world. Core Values:

Compassion - We believe in a diverse, inclusive culture, and we strive to create an environment full of acceptance, kindness, and empathy where people are comfortable being their true selves. For families, this also means accepting their children just the way they are, with an emphasis on support and teaching, as opposed to changing them to fit a “typical” mold. We want to lead with kindness and compassion in all of our interactions with each other, while working hard to avoid rushing to judgment or applying blame. Integrity - The foundational elements of this value are responsibility, accountability, and adherence to ethical practices. Our field has a robust ethical code which we strive to adhere to closely. Excellence - We operate at the front of the curve, always forward-thinking in our approach. We strive to be a leader in the field with respect to quality of service (although we can’t ignore quantity from a business perspective). We want to do it better than anyone else. Evolution - We are forever learning, ready to lean into discomfort and face challenges as we seek to grow in meaningful, impactful ways. We are not afraid to try new things or make mistakes; the potential for learning and growth is always worth the risk. Sustainability - It’s all about balance. We balance planning for the future while appreciating the moments along the way. We work hard, but it’s important that we have fun doing it. We want to foster a team culture where we all support each other while balancing the needs of the individual.

🚗 Cortney has had a busy week with a drive to Washington, D.C. to represent Vermont with the Council of Autism Service Providers - CASP. She had the opportunity to meet with staff from , , and offices. They discussed ABA services at the federal and state level and ways to support our children and families with autism nationally and in Vermont.

She even had the opportunity to be escorted through the underground tunnels and ride the tram between the buildings 😳🚉

Being part of the process and conversations that shape the services we provide for children and families at the Federal level and in Vermont is an important part of the work we do at KP.

🚗 Cortney has had a busy week with a drive to Washington, D.C. to represent Vermont with the Council of Autism Service Providers - CASP. She had the opportunity to meet with staff from U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders , Senator Peter Welch , and Rep. Becca Balint 's offices. They discussed ABA services, specifically Autism services, at the federal and state level and ways to support our children and families with autism in Vermont.

🚉 She even had the opportunity to be escorted through the underground tunnels and ride the tram between the buildings 😳

🗣️ Being part of the process and conversations that shape the services we provide for children and families in Vermont is an important part of the work we do at KP.

CASP's 2nd Annual D.C. Fly-in just wrapped up.

What an energizing day! CASP members from across the country shared their knowledge, experiences, and priorities with their Congressional representatives.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to the many Congressional members and staff who gave us their time.

Thanks, also, to CASP federal lobbyists Bob Okun and Christina Hamilton for continuing to represent us so successfully on the Hill.

At Keene Perspectives, we recognize Profound Autism Day and appreciate the work of the Profound Autism Alliance, working to achieve recognition in all 50 states.

What is Profound Autism? Autistic people who require 24/7 care throughout their lives have profound autism. People with profound autism consistently experience unique, devastating, and often unseen challenges that require solutions, not only for them but for their caregivers.
