My Story
Claudia is a Registered Massage Therapist in the State of Colorado and joyfully offers healing Massage, Bodywork, Graston Technique, Fire-Cupping, Reiki, Shiatsu, Acupressure, SoundHealing, private Yoga sessions as well as the whole body approach of MyoFascialRelease. She is currently trained in Myofascial Release I and II, which includes Theory and Evaluation, Techniques to treat Cranial Trauma, Headache, TMJ Problems, Sinus Problems, Intra Oral Work, Cervical Issues and the Lower and Upper extremities, to name a few. She is trained in Myofascial Unwinding which works on releasing subconscious holding patterns, depressing pain and increasing range of motion. Claudia has also been trained to address the Fascial Pelvic areas which include but are not limited to the Pelvic Floor, Hip, Erector Spinae, Sacro-iliac Joint, Lubar Area, Psoas, Sacrum and Quadratus Lumborum.
A little bit about Myofascial Release (MFR) as taught by John F. Barnes: MFR techniques address the totality of the body through focusing on one’s fascia. The fascial system is a whole-body system covering, interpenetrating and controlling every structure, system and cell of our body. Simply said, the fascial system is a 3 dimensional web that connects us head to toe, each muscle, bone, organ, and cell. The fascial system with it’s fluid content is also the main transportion for the nutrition we ingest, the fluid we drink and the oxygen we breath. A typical massage generally addresses only the muscular collagenous and elastic fibers of the body whereas MFR delves deeper into the fascia to release traumas and restore balance.
