Monday Mantra - October 21, 2025: “My choices aren’t criticisms of anyone else - and theirs aren’t criticisms of me.”

It’s easy to take things personally when someone’s choices look different from ours. But most of the time, it’s not about us at all. We’re all just trying to make the best decisions we can with what we know, need, and value.

You can honor your choices without needing others to agree.
You can let others choose differently without making it mean anything about you.

That’s what healthy differentiation—and peace—looks like. 💛

💙 TRIGGER WARNING - Mention of pregnancy and infant loss with statistics 💙

Today we remember the pregnancies and children that have been lost. No parent should ever have to face the pain of losing their child, but up to 1 and 4 pregnancies end in loss, 1 in 160 babies are born still, and 24,000 infants die each year (statistics from Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness). This is reality for far too many families who often suffer in silence.

We see you. Your child matters. Your pregnancy matters. Your family matters. Your loss matters. We see your grief. We hold your grief with acceptance and understanding.

💙 Join the Global Wave of Light tonight at 7pm local time. Light your candle for at least an hour, creating a wave of light around the world to honor the families impacted by loss and their children.

💙 Find more resources and information at Return to Zero, an organization who focuses on loss in the the journey to parenthood. https://rtzhope.org/

OCD recovery is about learning to see thoughts for what they are — just thoughts. These affirmations aren’t about forcing positivity — they’re gentle reminders that you can build new ways to respond to your mind.

Save these for moments when your brain feels loud. Healing takes practice, patience, and compassion — not perfection.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. You’ve probably heard someone say “I’m so OCD” because they like things tidy or color-coded — but that’s not what OCD really is. And that’s actually quite harmful because it minimizes how difficult OCD is for those who have it.

OCD is a mental health condition involving unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions) meant to relieve anxiety or prevent something bad from happening. It’s not a personality quirk or a love of order — it’s distressing, time-consuming, and often isolating.

The good news? OCD is treatable. Therapies like ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) can help you learn to live with uncertainty and get out of the OCD cycle.

This week, we’re breaking down myths, sharing facts, and talking about what real help looks like. Swipe through to learn more about OCD or head to iocdf.org to learn more.

Today on World Mental Health Day, we’re honoring the truth that mental health is health.

It’s not all deep breathing and bubble baths — it’s boundaries, community, nervous system support, and spaces where you can show up as your whole self.

Here’s to building a world — and a life — where mental health is tended to with compassion, not perfectionism. 🌿

When people hear the term “perinatal mental health,” they often think of postpartum depression or the “baby blues.” But there’s a whole range of experiences that fall under PMADs—Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.

PMADs can look like anxiety that keeps you up all night (no ‘sleeping when the baby sleeps’ for you!), intrusive thoughts that make you question if you’re a “good parent,” or depression that shows up months after birth. They don’t just affect new moms—partners, adoptive parents, and people navigating fertility can experience them too.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of myths about PMADs. Some people believe they only happen in the first few weeks, or that they’re just about being “sad.” The truth? PMADs are common, complex, and absolutely treatable with the right support.

If you’ve ever wondered:
– What exactly is a PMAD?
– How do I know if what I’m feeling is “normal”?
– Where can I go for help?

This one’s for you. You don’t have to have it all together, and you don’t have to go through this alone.

Fertility treatment takes so much more than time, money, and energy—it can take a toll on your mental health, too.

We’re here to remind you: you are more than this process. Your grief is valid, your hope is real, and your mental health matters just as much as the medical side.

Today, we’re sharing ways to:
✨ Acknowledge the weight of this journey
✨ Care for yourself day-to-day
✨ Protect your boundaries
✨ Nurture your relationships
✨ Build support around you

Save this for when you need a reminder—and share it with someone who could use a little gentleness in their fertility journey. You don’t have to hold this alone.
