šŸ“£ No dogs (or babies) were hurt in the making of this video!! šŸ“£

šŸŽˆLast night, I posted a funny video of my now-9-year-old daughter crawling around with her unused diapers while holding a horse toy in her mouth. The audio that I used has been commonly paired with funny videos of toddlers and parents noting ā€œIt’s easier to not get mad at them when you realize their brain probably sounds like this.ā€

Just for fun, I made this second video clip of my sweet niece, imagining what might actually be going through her precious brain as she moves about.

šŸ¤“: Interestingly, when a baby learns to move their body through space— across a room, from room to room, from sit to laying on their belly, up to stand at the furniture, etc— you also see huge cognitive gains occurring. Through movement, babies start to learn more about cause and effect, free will, boundaries, and more. It is all SO EXCITING!!!! (Who’s with me?! šŸ¤“šŸ¤“)

If your baby is slow with their gross motor skills, we would love to teach you new ways to get them moving and transitioning between positions so that we can help their little brain blossom, too!

Our and teams partnered up with our friends at this week for a presentation on ā€˜Developmental Considerations’ for children in grades K3-8th. We had very fruitful conversations!

Special shout-out to Ellora Mohanty, fifth-year doctoral student with Bay Psychology, who was extremely professional and well-versed in all things mental health. Sarah Garrett joked— ā€˜You aren’t a student!!’ She is SO GOOD!!

This presentation included information on a child’s development across the topics of gross motor skills, speech and language, fine motor skills, mental health, social connection, and sensory processing.

We hope to host a parent night (or several parent nights!) in the coming months, presenting on similar information and just geared more toward parents. Let us know if you might be interested in this sort of free event, and DM us any questions you may have!

University School of Milwaukee is just one of the area schools where providers treat therapy clients.

This morning, Dr. Lizzie spotted this amazing third grade artwork in the hallway. So beautiful & moving— and by such young, talented artists!

Keep up the lovely work, kiddos!

The five tenets of are courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and . What more could we ask for in an activity for our children?! Thank you, Master Lee and all!
