Inpatient services are available at Logan Health Medical Center and Logan Health - Whitefish.
Occupational therapists work in our hospitals, helping patients during their recovering from surgery, injury, and other medical conditions.
An occupational therapist will evaluate the patient’s vision, cognition, upper extremity ability, and their ability to perform activities of daily living. They take into consideration what the patient was able to do before and make an individualized care plan providing interventions, education, and recommendations for the person to regain function back to their baseline level with the goals of a safe discharge.
Emilie Dempsey: "I like the genuine human connection when you can reach someone even if it's just to make them smile."
Terese Miskulin: “My favorite part of this work is watching patients improve, achieve their goals, regain independence, and return to the activities that matter most to them. I also value the meaningful connections built along the way—each person has a unique story that shapes who they are, and it’s a privilege to be part of their journey.”
Mel Wood-Smith: "I love helping people find joy and hope."
