Hello WW community!
"I recently completed a 2-day course focused on abdominal and visceral massage, as well as techniques for the low back. While digestive issues might not be the first reason you think to schedule a massage treatment, did you know that abdominal and visceral massage can help relieve symptoms of digestive distress? The internal organs (viscera) are highly sensitive—not only to the foods we eat, but also to the stress we take in and the emotions we experience. In fact, the enteric nervous system contains so many neurons that it's often referred to as “the second brain.” So when they say “trust your gut,” it’s more than just a figure of speech. By relieving tension and improving circulation in the abdominal organs, we can support the entire body, promote deep relaxation, and even improve digestive motility. Additionally, addressing the muscles of the abdomen can offer relief from back pain, as these muscles have a direct relationship with the muscles they parallel on the back of the body. I am so excited to employ the techniques I’ve learned to better serve those of you who are experiencing stress, digestive discomfort and/or low back pain!"
See you soon,
