Did you know you can use your breath to calm and regulate your nervous system?

Yep. That's right. Conscious use of the breath is one of the FASTEST ways to shift the nervous system and body out of a fight or flight stress response and into a calmer, more balanced state. It's also an amazing way to calm and clear the mind, improve focus, and increase energy levels!

The best part is that your breath is available to you 24/7/365 and its totally f-r-e-e!

🫶Strong, healthy relationships
🫶A sense of belonging
🫶Meaningful, soul-satisfying work
🫶Deep friendships
🫶Ways to express our creativity

All of these are just as important as diet, hydration, exercise, sleep, and supplementation.

If you feel like you're "doing everything right," and you've tried everything, but you aren't feeling well, it might be worth considering if one of the areas above is needing your attention.

You can't eat, drink, exercise, sleep, or supplement your way out of an unhealthy relationship, a soul-sucking job, a lack of friendship, or a schedule so full you never have time for the things that light you up.

It just won't work!

How can you take a step to nourish yourself mentally, emotionally, spiritually? What could bring a greater sense of purpose and meaning into your work? How can you express your creativity?

Food for thought...

"Why do I need to learn to breathe? I breathe all day, every day!"

I've heard this so many times!

But here's the thing. Most people, especially adults, have developed dysfunctional breathing patterns.

That dysfunctional breathing can contribute to a whole host of health issues and keep the body in a chronic stress response.

Learning how to breathe correctly and consistently working to improve your breathing patterns is one of the best things you can do for your health!

Curious to learn how to breathe better? Join me on Friday, February 27th at 6:30 p.m. for my Optimal Breathing for Optimal Health workshop. Register below or call 406-560-0662.

Most people aren't breathing as well as they could. In fact, most people only breathe at about 20% of their capacity. Which means...
*They are oxygen deprived
*Their body spends a lot of time in a sympathetic stress response
*They are missing out on the energy and mental clarity they could enjoy if they were breathing optimally

Loneliness kills.

Isolation destroys.

Physically. Mentally. Emotionally. Spiritually.

We are created for connection, for belonging, for community.

One of the best indicators of resilience and longevity is whether or not a person has strong relationships and belongs to a supportive community.

Pills, supplements, and the latest health gadgets can't make up for a lack of connection and a sense of belonging.

Want to do something for your health? Get connected with like-minded people. Get involved in a supportive community. Spend time with the ones you love.

It will do your heart, mind, and body good!

I believe we are spiritual beings having a physical experience here on Earth. Our physical bodies are the gift we are given to live out that experience.

In order for your physical bodies to be healthy, you need to have a strong connection to it and a strong awareness of the way it communicates.

Our western culture heavily emphasizes being "in our heads," and using linear, logical thinking. This can be a good and beautiful thing when it's in balance.

But when it gets out of balance and becomes the dominant mode of knowing and understanding, people get disconnected and cut off from their bodies and the deep, innate wisdom they communicate.

The human body is designed to communicate in beautiful, although sometimes subtle ways. The physical sensations we feel can tell us not only about our body, but they can alert us to the emotions we are experiencing and to the situations and relationships in our lives that require our attention or that need to change in some way.

Cultivating an awareness of what you are feeling and experiencing in your body can be a great first step towards understanding what your body communicating.
