It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of one of our longtime Women’s Service Board members, Ann Rarey, who died on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the remarkable age of 95.

Ann was a key member of the Women’s Service Board, whose leadership and dedication were essential to the success of The Buckeye Ranch. She remained an active and committed member of the board until her passing.

Over the years, Ann played a special role in welcoming new team members, sharing the history of The Buckeye Ranch during orientation and often being one of the first faces they encountered. In addition, she faithfully supported a Service Board fundraiser, personally addressing, mailing, and organizing thousands of donation requests over the years.

Ann was truly a joy to work with and will be remembered as a devoted advocate and enduring champion of hope and healing for children and families.

A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on:

📅Thursday, March 26, 2026

This , we’re proud to celebrate Holly, Senior Clinical Manager of Community‑Based programs at The Buckeye Ranch.

With 13 years of dedicated service at The Buckeye Ranch, Holly provides leadership and clinical oversight for our Multisystemic Therapy (MST), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and Integrated Co-Occurring Treatment (ICT) programs—supporting not only children and families, but also clinicians and supervisors as they grow in their work.

For Holly, the heart of her work is clear: the people. She values the strong relationships with her coworkers and the flexibility and support of her supervisor, which allow her to lead with compassion and intention.

“I love serving others and helping them reach their full potential,” Holly shares. “Whether it’s a client, a family, a clinician, or a supervisor, guiding others along their journey and seeing them progress brings me great joy and satisfaction.”
Holly wants our community to know that every child and family who walks through our doors is met with compassion, patience, and evidence‑based care. She witnesses healing in small but powerful moments—made possible by a team committed to restoring hope and providing meaningful emotional and behavioral health support.

One of her most meaningful moments at The Buckeye Ranch? Announcing the promotion of one of her very first new hires—six years later—into a supervisor role. It’s a testament to the impact of mentorship, growth, and believing in others.

Thank you, Holly, for your leadership, heart for service, and unwavering commitment to raising hope and healing for youth and families. 💙

Knowing the three Rs - Regulate, Reason, Relate - can help you navigate communication with those who are stressed or dysregulated.

Adapted from the work of Dr. Bruce Perry and the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), the three Rs guide the work we do at The Buckeye Ranch!

We know that for productive conversations and learning to take place, all parties have to regulate. This happens when we feel safe and can create a supportive space for all. From there, we can build connections and relate in a way that makes all parties feel understood. Finally, we can reason, which allows us to navigate problems and share ideas that empower everyone to do their best work.

🎬✨ Lights, camera – take action.

During the course of tonight’s ceremony, approximately 150 children in the United States will enter foster care. Each one stepping into uncertainty, hoping someone will show up for them to provide safety and stability.

While Hollywood honors the power of storytelling, you can become part of a story that truly changes a child’s life.

This , we are recognizing team members engaged in the vital work of raising hope and restoring healing for youth and families in our community. Team members like Sherrie, a supervisor on our Foster Care team at The Buckeye Ranch.

Sherrie has dedicated 14 years at The Buckeye Ranch serving children, youth, and families, and her impact can be felt across our organization and community!

Sherrie was drawn to social work out of a deep passion for protecting children, and that purpose continues to guide her every day. Her favorite part of working at The Buckeye Ranch is collaborating with her wonderful team members and supporting them as they do life-changing work.

Some of Sherrie’s most meaningful memories come from celebrating foster care adoptions, and watching youth successfully age out of foster care and begin attending college. These moments reflect the hope and healing that social workers help make possible every day.

Sherrie wants our community to know that The Buckeye Ranch is truly dedicated to raising hope and restoring healing for youth and families. We are grateful for her leadership, compassion, and commitment.

💙 Thank you, Sherrie, and all who perfom social work, for the difference you make.
