Yesterday we took a trip down memory lane at the Memory Cafe at the North Muskegon Library. After viewing items from stores long gone we enjoyed some snacks and decorated our own zippered pouches.

Today we went to the Muskegon Museum of Art. We talked about paintings and how they made us feel. Then we went to the art room and did some painting of our own. Using plexiglass we teamed up. 1 person held the plexiglass up to their face and the other one painted what they saw. Afterward we chose bodies for the heads we painted. It was a very interesting project.

Today we went to the North Muskegon Library for their Memory Cafe program. Today’s theme was BIRDS. We looked at some pictures, sang some songs and then got to paint a bird of our own. We had a great time.

We had wonderful time celebrating the season together! Our Pinewood Retirement Home residents joined friends at Hallstrom Castle Assisted Living for a Christmas party filled with laughter, treats, and festive fun.

Seeing our residents laugh, participate, and enjoy time together is what the season is all about. ❤️

A huge thank-you to our caring staff who made the day so special and to everyone who helped spread the holiday spirit. We are so grateful for the love, patience, and joy shared with our residents every single day.

Today was our monthly trip to the Muskegon Museum of Art. We looked at all the beautiful Christmas trees and went on a “sleigh ride”. We bundled up with blankets and scarves and heard the hoof beats and jingle bells. We had a great time making some ornaments and then celebrated with coffee, juice and cookies!!
