“The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” — Psalm 145:8 (KJV)
God’s character is marked by compassion and patience, especially toward those who are hurting or weary. His mercy meets us in moments of weakness and failure. As recipients of His grace, we are called to reflect that same compassion to others. This truth shapes how we speak, act, and serve throughout the day.
Lord, fill our hearts with Your compassion and mercy today. Help us extend kindness to every patient, family member, and coworker. In Jesus Name We Pray Amen

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and the team at Whitesburg ARH Surgical Clinic wants to remind you: getting screened could save your life. 💙
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., but when caught early, it is highly treatable. In fact, regular screening can prevent colon cancer by finding and removing precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer.
Our General Surgery team, Dr. Dustin Scott Campbell and Dr. David Terwilliger, encourage you to talk with your primary care provider about scheduling a colonoscopy with them.
Making It Simple with the One Stop Colo Program
At Whitesburg ARH, we make scheduling easy.
✔ No separate surgical consultation
✔ No extra appointments
✔ No unnecessary steps
Here’s how it works:
• Ask your primary care provider to complete an order for a screening colonoscopy during your office visit.
• Once the order is sent, our team contacts you directly to schedule.
That’s it! It’s easier, faster, and helps you skip the in-office surgical consult—saving time and making it more affordable for you.

Verse: “The LORD is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” — Psalm 91:2 (KJV)
God offers Himself as a refuge when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. In moments of fear or fatigue, He remains a safe and steady shelter. Trust grows as we remember that His protection is constant and faithful. Even in difficult circumstances, our confidence rests securely in Him.
Lord, be our refuge and strength as we begin this day. Help us trust You fully as we care for one another. In Jesus Name We Pray Amen

Public Health Alert: Deadly New Synthetic Opioid Detected in Kentucky

ARH is warning our communities about cychlorphine, a dangerous synthetic opioid recently identified in Kentucky.
This substance—already linked to overdose deaths in neighboring states—is approximately 10 times stronger than fentanyl, making even tiny amounts potentially lethal.
Cychlorphine is often mixed into other illicit drugs without the user’s knowledge, increasing the risk of sudden, severe overdose.

What You Need to Know
• Extremely potent synthetic opioid.
• Recently detected in Kentucky and expected to spread rapidly.
• Often mixed with other substances — users may not know they’re taking it.
• Naloxone (Narcan®) may only partially reverse an overdose — but it can still save lives.

If You Suspect an Overdose
✔ Call 911 immediately
✔ Give naloxone if available
✔ Stay with the person until help arrives

ARH encourages everyone—individuals, families, and community members—to carry naloxone whenever possible. The ingredients of drugs sold illicitly are ever changing, and being prepared can save lives.
