This November, Appalachian Regional Healthcare (ARH) is stepping up to support families across Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia who may be struggling.

We’re inviting our employees, patients, and community partners to join us in our Food Drive for Families, happening November 1–30.

ARH Whitesburg delivered more than 300 items on November 17 to both Letcher County Schools and the Letcher County Food Pantry. We also spent time with each organization to learn how we can continue supporting our community.

We’re preparing for another delivery to Letcher County Schools on 11/21, focusing on the Backpack Ministry (smaller food boxes). We’ll be accepting donations throughout the month of November—please give if you can!

Join the ARH Bariatric Surgery Support Group, offered both online and in-person! Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM. Our next meeting is November 20. The group is led by licensed clinical social worker Roger Smith, who underwent bariatric surgery himself in 2003. Roger is passionate about supporting others on their journey, providing valuable insights, addressing concerns, and celebrating milestones.
