Public health update for North Carolina:
Two additional measles cases have been identified in Buncombe County, bringing the state total to seven since late December.

NCDHHS has also launched a new Measles Cases and Outbreaks Dashboard so residents can easily track updates on cases and exposures. Knowing where cases are occurring, how to check your immunity, and what to do if symptoms appear can help limit further spread.

📅 Office Closure Notice
The Columbus County Health Department will be closed on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20th.

Starting Tuesday, January 20, following the MLK holiday, select services will be provided at one of our new locations:

📍 800 Jefferson Street, Unit 102, Whiteville, NC

This location will offer:

Child Health Appointments

Immunizations

WIC

⭐Appointments Are Still Available:
Immunization and Child Health/Pediatric appointments can continue to be scheduled by calling our main number, 910-640-6615, just as you always have. Our staff remains the same and is ready to care for you and your family.

🍼 WIC Services Update:
To allow for a smooth transition, Columbus County WIC offices will close after 12:00 PM today and will reopen at the new Jefferson Street location on Wednesday, January 21, at 8:30 AM.
During this short transition period, questions about WIC services may still be directed to the main WIC number at 910-641-3904.

Our team is carefully preparing this new space to better serve our community while maintaining the quality, access, and care you expect. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take this step forward.
