🌿 World Health Day 🌿

What if health wasn’t just about the body… but about your whole being?

Today is a beautiful reminder that true wellness lives at the intersection of mind, body, and spirit.

It’s not just about what you eat or how you move—
It’s about how you think, feel, and live your truth.

Are you nourishing your body?
Are you calming your mind?
Are you honoring your soul?

✨ Health is not perfection.
✨ Health is alignment.
✨ Health is coming home to yourself.

This World Health Day, give yourself permission to pause… breathe… and ask:
What does my whole self need today?

🌸Happy Easter Monday morning! In the Christian tradition, today is the second day of Eastertide to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. 🙏

🌅On my sunrise walk this morning, I thought about Jesus and Easter. The teachings of Jesus are often misunderstood. I suppose that some things can get lost in translation over 2+ millennia.

Let's take the idea of sin. The Hebrew word for "sin" directly translates to "missed the mark". As humans, we are here to learn. Most importantly, we are hear to learn to love one another and ourselves. Given our societal programming and the world we live in, we are bound to "miss the mark" from time to time.

In the Bible, Jesus never once said that you should feel guilty for being born. Jesus never said that he died for our sins. Guilt keeps your heart from opening. Guilt keeps us choosing fear over love.

What did Jesus say according to the Bible?

⚡"Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." ~ John 14:12 (Said another way, have faith and you can do what I can do.)

🤲“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. ~ Matthew 7:7-8
(In other words, your faith brings all good things to you.)

🩷“'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.' And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ~ Matthew 22:37-40

😇“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. ~ Matthew 7:1

🕯"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." ~ Matthew 5:16
(i.e. Don't dim your Light.)

Some moments come full circle in the most beautiful ways. ⭕

This photo was taken in 2024 in front of the building that is now Verve Studio by Green Yoga Spa. At the time, it was still just a dream that my dear friend Wolters held in her heart—to create a yoga studio and wellness center that would serve the Champaign community.

Mary and I met in 2020 and have stayed connected ever since, even after I moved to Wisconsin. Over the years, we’ve collaborated on events, supported each other personally and professionally, and shared a deep commitment to helping people live healthier, more balanced lives.

Now we get to celebrate another full-circle moment. 🤸‍♀️

Mary is hosting my Reiki Level 1 Training at Verve on Saturday, April 18 from 1:00–5:00 pm, and I couldn’t be more excited to bring this offering to such a special space. 🙌

In this class, participants will:
✨ Learn the history and foundations of Usui Reiki
✨ Receive their Reiki Level 1 attunement
✨ Learn hand placements for self-healing

Whether you're curious about energy healing, looking for a tool to support your own wellness, or feeling called to explore Reiki more deeply, this training is a beautiful place to begin.
