The Dizzy Muscle: Why Your Neck is Scrambling Your Brain 🛑🧠
Do you ever get unexplainable bouts of dizziness, brain fog, or feel completely "off-balance"? You might also have a dull ache behind your eye. You got checked by a doctor, but they said your inner ear is fine.
Your inner ear is fine. Your neck is physically scrambling your brain's GPS!
Meet the Sternocleidomastoid (SCM). It's the thick, rope-like muscle (glowing red) on the front of your neck. It is packed with tiny sensors that tell your brain exactly where your head is in space.
When you stare down at a phone all day, this muscle locks down to hold your heavy head up. It develops brutal, rigid knots.
When this muscle locks, its internal sensors get crushed and misfire! They send erratic signals to your brain. Your brain gets confused between what your eyes see and what your neck feels. The result? A massive neurological glitch that makes you feel dizzy, lightheaded, and foggy!
The Fix:
Do not aggressively stretch a dizzy neck!
Turn your head slightly, pinch the thick SCM muscle with your thumb and index finger, and gently massage the hard knots to melt the spasm and reset the sensors!
Pull your head straight back (Chin Tucks) to take the heavy load off your neck!
Save this to fix your brain fog, and TAG a heavy scroller!
