Her perspective underscores why understanding the full scope of family homelessness is essential to creating effective, compassionate solutions. Thank you to journalist Elly Yu and LAist for elevating this important conversation and helping ensure families are seen and understood.

Last year, homelessness declined overall in the region, but not for families with children. And service providers say even that was an undercount.
