Age Safe At Home strives to enable all persons of all abilities to maintain permanent residence in their private home throughout the lifespan. It is my goal to enable everyone to live their lives as they want with privacy, dignity and the comfort of the place they call home! It is also my goal to preserve my client’s financial resources by maintaining a private residence at a cost lower than Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facility settings (https://www.genworth.com/about-us/industry-expertise/cost-of-care.html). It is my belief that no person desires to live anywhere other than their own home. At this time, Age Safe At Home is solely offering free suggestions on how how to age safely in your own home by text, email or phone conversation with Adam Mullikin, retired occupational therapist of 25yrs practice in multiple practice settings to include hospital, skilled nursing, home health and the Florida Brain and Spinal Cord Injury program. Occupational therapy is the only profession that helps people across the lifespan to do the things they want and need to do! Occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective, in which the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to fit the person, and the person is an integral part of the team.
