Community Advocates in Action ✂️🤍

For the past year, The Guidelines Barbershop has quietly but powerfully shown what true community advocacy looks like.

Through the generosity of Beto, individuals supported by CAPC who are preparing for employment have received donated haircuts, an act that goes far beyond appearance. A fresh haircut can mean walking into a job interview with confidence, dignity, and readiness. It’s a simple but powerful reminder that someone believes in your potential.

For our families, this partnership eases financial pressure while reinforcing something even more meaningful: belonging. For our community, it’s a living example of how local businesses can be catalysts for opportunity, inclusion, and upward momentum.

We also extend our sincere thanks to City of Whittier Councilmember Octavio Martinez and Vincent Morales, representing , for taking the time to honor a local business that leads with heart and service.

Community advocates don’t always wear capes—sometimes they wear aprons and hold clippers. We are deeply grateful to The Guidelines Barbershop and Beto for investing their time, talent, and heart into the people we serve. This is how communities grow stronger—together.
