Hey there, friends! Today I have the honor of making my most personally exciting and scary announcement yet. This is something that has been requested of me more than anything else and if we are connected on here, chances are you or someone you know has asked for this once or twice. I am jittery, joyful, terrified, and entirely committed to this adventure.

Y’all, I am writing a book!

In this soulful and vulnerable recounting, I am sharing the depths of my heart and some of the most personal and passionate corners of my existence. I’ll share insights and magic, laughter and heartbreak, the lowest craters and my highest mountains. I am laying it all out there and I am trusting that the right people will find my words at exactly the right time.

I feel it is entirely important to remind you, my beautiful and amazing friends, that while my disposition is sunny, my history is not. This memoir will crack you open and set you free… if you let it. 🍃

To build engagement and encourage transparency every step of the way, I will be releasing excerpts from my rough draft in written format here and as a videoed read-aloud on YouTube every other Tuesday, beginning next week! I would be beyond honored for you to join me in reading or watching as I climb my way through the pages.

I am thankful. I am hopeful. I am petrified. I am in love with it all.

I saw a sign one time that read, “Your life has purpose. Don’t give up!”

I keep hearing those words dance around my head this week, much like a song from my childhood that moves me onward from the inside. Purpose can feel like so many things and sometimes it doesn’t feel like anything at all. Sometimes the greatest moments of purpose are the ones that feel desolate, quiet, and music-less, yet somewhere inside there is a shuffle and a boogy that keep you moving anyway. Sometimes purpose is best seen in the rear view mirror.

As we enter a whole new solar cycle, an entire year of ups, downs, and inevitable turnarounds, I hope you remember your life has so much purpose. You’re wanted here, you’re doing a fantastic job, your love is worth sharing and your dreams are worth pursuing. Find the music, do the boogy, and look for the signs in the rear view mirror.

Your life has purpose. Don’t give up! 💫

P.S. I did some playing down in the Pocket Wilderness this week. Sometimes a 100 foot rappel into the unknown is the best medicine I can imagine.

Good morning friends and happy solstice!

In recent weeks our communities have endured waves of heartache and pain. Amidst war crimes, lethal overdoses, tornadoes and loved ones choosing to discontinue their lives, our communal hearts are aching and sometimes we can’t help but feel small and afraid.

On this first true day of winter, in anticipation of the longest night of the year, I wish for you peace within the darkness and the knowing that the sun will come again. No matter how dim it may feel today, I promise the light is on its way.

Much like the ebb and flow of day and night, there will be times in life of felt triumph and dismay. It is often when we feel the coldest that we begin our journey back towards the warmth of day.

This winter season, please be kind to yourselves, friends. Treat yourself with patience and grace and treat others the same. You never know when your light will reignite someone else’s dwindling flame.

Today I send to you my most heartfelt love and thanks for your life and light here on earth. You are loved, you make a difference, your life matters greatly, and the light is on its way.
