United Regional Health Care System

United Regional Health Care System Providing advanced technology, compassionate service, and excellence in health care for the communities we serve.

Though we are the region’s primary healthcare resource, United Regional Health Care System is more than a collection of a hospital and clinics — we are a trusted member of the community, promoting healthier, stronger residents. In addition to providing advanced technology, modern facilities, and expert team members, we’re delivering warm and compassionate care close to home. We also contribute significantly to the community by fostering partnerships, supporting local initiatives, and promoting healthy and thriving residents. United Regional is where our community finds support, strength, and a healthier future.

United Regional is proud to support community health through its annual flu shot initiative. Each year, we provide free flu vaccines to approximately 300 seniors in our region, helping reduce the risk of flu-related complications among one of our most vulnerable populations. This effort reflects our commitment to accessible preventive care and our belief that everyone deserves protection against seasonal illness. By removing barriers to access, we ensure that seniors can receive their flu shots safely, efficiently, and with dignity.

Yesterday, United Regional’s Wellness team hosted a Kids Self-Defense class for the children of our staff members. Led by Security Manager Steve Beggs, the session welcomed children ages 5–12 for an engaging evening of learning practical safety skills and confidence-building techniques in a fun, supportive environment.
We’re proud to offer meaningful programs that support our employees and their families — promoting wellness, safety, and personal development through education and activity. United Regional is honored to support Peyton’s Project, a nonprofit organization founded in memory of Peyton Alexandra Hood, who tragically lost her life to a rattlesnake bite in 2010. From this heartbreaking event emerged a powerful mission: to raise awareness about the dangers of venomous snakes and ensure that lifesaving antivenom is available in rural communities across the Texoma region.

Through our partnership, United Regional and nine surrounding rural hospitals work together to make sure these facilities are equipped with enough antivenom to begin treatment immediately, buying critical time until patients can be transferred to United Regional for further care. This collaboration is saving lives and strengthening emergency response in our region.

We are proud to stand with Peyton’s Project in their mission to educate and protect our community. Thank you for an amazing event and for the important work you do.

Our Story

Driven by a passion for healing and an unwavering commitment to excellence, United Regional has touched the lives of the people of Wichita Falls and surrounding areas for nearly 100 years. For us, providing world-class medical care is more than a day's work. It's our life's work. United Regional provides the area's only comprehensive cardiac care facility, and its only Level II trauma center. Virtually every day, the United Regional Care Flight Helicopter can be seen bringing help and hope to those in need. But we don't stop there. At United Regional, we continually seek to further improve community health by investing in life-saving medical equipment, world-class physicians and state-of-the art facilities. To make sure our goals are consistently met, we've set forth five pillars of service: People, Service, Quality, Finance and Growth. By applying our energies to these pillars and making them integral to our culture, we're able to deliver excellence in health care for the communities we serve. Excellence which the people of Wichita Falls and the region deserve and can be proud. Because to us, you're not just a patient – you're our neighbor.
