United Regional Health Care System

United Regional Health Care System Providing advanced technology, compassionate service, and excellence in health care for the communities we serve.

Though we are the region’s primary healthcare resource, United Regional Health Care System is more than a collection of a hospital and clinics — we are a trusted member of the community, promoting healthier, stronger residents. In addition to providing advanced technology, modern facilities, and expert team members, we’re delivering warm and compassionate care close to home. We also contribute significantly to the community by fostering partnerships, supporting local initiatives, and promoting healthy and thriving residents. United Regional is where our community finds support, strength, and a healthier future.

Members of United Regional’s Radiology Leadership Team volunteered last week with the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry, dedicating their time to support families across our community. Their efforts reflect the values we hold — ensuring access to essential resources for those who need it most.
In just one day, the team contributed 10 hours of service, helping process 4,827 pounds of food — the equivalent of 4,022.5 meals valued at $14,923.48. Their work directly impacted 159 families and 413 individuals, resulting in a total volunteer impact of $15,258.38.
Beyond their professional roles, our Radiology leaders continue to demonstrate what it means to serve with purpose. Volunteering together not only strengthens our community but also reinforces the shared mission that drives our team forward.

United Regional is excited to share that, on Monday, November 3, we will launch a new System website — a project designed to improve access, navigation, and the overall digital experience for all — including our patients, families, and community.
Consolidating and replacing our two separate websites (unitedregional.org and urphysiciangroup.org), the new site offers:
• A consistent and user-friendly design to represent the entire organization
• Faster, more accurate search results
• Improved accessibility and security
• And more
Once launched, the new website will make it easier than ever for people to find care, connect with providers, and learn more about United Regional.

Please note: Our current website chatbot will appear on the new website approximately one week after go-live, due to testing requirements.

Thank you to all who have been involved in making this long-term investment in our community’s digital access possible!

United Regional recognizes Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign observed in schools and communities to promote healthy, drug-free lifestyles. In 2024, United Regional’s Emergency Department saw:
• 264 total drug overdose cases
• 24.2% involved individuals age 18 or younger
• 58 patients diagnosed with opioid overdoses
These numbers reflect a critical need for continued education, prevention, and community engagement. At United Regional, our healthcare professionals are committed to supporting this initiative by educating youth about the dangers of drug use and encouraging safe practices at home. We remain focused on reducing both accidental and intentional overdoses through outreach and support.

Our Story

Driven by a passion for healing and an unwavering commitment to excellence, United Regional has touched the lives of the people of Wichita Falls and surrounding areas for nearly 100 years. For us, providing world-class medical care is more than a day's work. It's our life's work. United Regional provides the area's only comprehensive cardiac care facility, and its only Level II trauma center. Virtually every day, the United Regional Care Flight Helicopter can be seen bringing help and hope to those in need. But we don't stop there. At United Regional, we continually seek to further improve community health by investing in life-saving medical equipment, world-class physicians and state-of-the art facilities. To make sure our goals are consistently met, we've set forth five pillars of service: People, Service, Quality, Finance and Growth. By applying our energies to these pillars and making them integral to our culture, we're able to deliver excellence in health care for the communities we serve. Excellence which the people of Wichita Falls and the region deserve and can be proud. Because to us, you're not just a patient – you're our neighbor.
