Bike Safety Education Day brought United Regional’s teams together for a fun, hands-on event focused on safer cycling and active living!

Nearly 75 staff members stopped by to learn cycling first aid, watch hands-on demonstrations from the City of Wichita Falls Cycle Smart program, and take part in bike tire repair and helmet safety demos led by CycleRun. The Hotter’N Hell Hundred team also joined us to share race details, collect registrations, and volunteer sign-ups, and give away a cycling jersey. From educational sessions to prize giveaways and tacos from Say Ahhh! Tacos, the day highlighted the power of community partnerships and shared commitment to wellness and safety.

United Regional is committed to keeping our teams and community safe, one cyclist at a time. Learn more about the education and community resources we provide by visiting https://unitedregional.org/community-resources-education.

Over two days, healthcare professionals from across our region came together to learn, collaborate, and explore new ideas focused on advancing patient care. From clinical education to meaningful conversation, the symposium reflected our shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and lifelong learning in healthcare.
We are proud to support continued education for nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, speech therapists, EMS professionals, and many others who make a difference for patients and families every day.

United Regional is proud to support community health and safety through initiatives like our Drug Take Back event.
Together, we collected an impressive 242 pounds of expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications, reducing the risk of misuse and helping promote safer homes across our region. As an alternative to throwing all the empty medicine bottles away, we have donated them to PETS and the Animal Hospital to use for med distribution. We also collected 40 pairs of glasses to be donated to Bowie Lions Club and refurbished for those in need.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for making this effort possible.
