My youngest is studying the musculoskeletal system in science this week. I couldn’t help pulling out my anatomy textbook from PT school and giving him a deeper dive into the material than he probably wanted. 😜📚

🚵‍♂️ But once we connected the dots to real-life examples—like how his bones and muscles work together to help him climb hills, corner smoothly, and generate more power on his mountain bike—he was all ears!

At Open Range PT, I’m just as passionate about education when it comes to working with patients. I firmly believe that when people understand how their body works—why something hurts, how movement patterns impact healing, and what they can do to support their recovery—they get better faster and feel more confident every step of the way.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared much about what I do, so I figured it was time for a little reintroduction!

I’m a physical therapist and the owner of Open Range Physical Therapy, a mobile practice I started about 3½ years ago. After 20+ years in the profession, I wanted to create something that truly focused on exceptional care — the kind that gives people time, attention, and results without all the hassle.

So that’s what I do now — I come to you! Whether that’s your home, office, or wherever you feel most comfortable. I love helping people get out of pain, recover from injury, and lead active, healthy lives without pain holding them back. I work with a lot of endurance athletes, but honestly, I love helping anyone who wants to stay active and strong.

Fred Schmid is 92 years old, and still chasing adventure on the gravel roads of the Flint Hills. 🔥🚴‍♂️

We have heard about Fred for the last few years and we were equally inspired by his story again this year at Unbound Gravel!

At Open Range Physical Therapy, we love helping people stay strong and injury free so they can keep doing the activities they love- whether they are 12 or 92! 🚴🏼‍♂️🏃🏼🏌🏼‍♂️🏋️
