Hello friends and colleagues,

I recently completed EMDR Basic Training and will be pursuing certification. I’m currently looking for clients who are interested in EMDR therapy as a way to reduce the impact of past experiences, manage anxiety, and support overall wellbeing.

My practice is affirming and supportive of autistic and ADHD individuals, and I welcome clients who are seeking a safe and understanding space to begin this work.

If you’ve been curious about EMDR or wondering if it might be right for you, feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule a consult.

There has been a huge break through in Autism research. Looks like there are 4 subtypes of autism. Some caused by genetic mutations that they inherited and some having new genetic mutations. Check out this video.

✨️An Update from Authenticity Therapy✨️
I’m currently in the practicum phase of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training, weaving EMDR-based interventions into my sessions under supervision. EMDR is a powerful tool for helping the brain reprocess stuck trauma and create new pathways for healing—especially in neurodivergent minds that hold experiences in uniquely deep ways.

It can feel like a bit of brain magic—working with the body’s natural rhythms to gently unlock what’s been held for too long. I’m so excited to add this tool to my practice and see how it can support healing in new ways.

Just wanted to share this update and celebrate this growth with you all. ✨

As someone who was diagnosed as autistic at two and a half, being autistic is an integral part of who I am. My diagnosis has been documented throughout my life, and honestly, I couldn’t hide it even if I tried – nor would I want to.

Recently, I’ve seen some fellow autistic therapists wondering if they should change their websites and remove self-disclosures. I want to take a moment to say that I won’t be doing that. My identity as an autistic person is not something I can or want to hide.

I know I haven’t said anything sooner about RFK Jr.’s comments from last month regarding wellness camps and so-called autism cures. I took some time to process it because I wanted to be thoughtful in how I responded. It’s disheartening and frightening to see public figures perpetuate harmful and dangerous narratives that suggest we need fixing. I want to remind anyone who needs to hear it – that you are not alone in feeling this way. Our voices matter, and we deserve to live openly and authentically without fear.

Yesterday I made a post about using legos to support communication skills. I wanted to take a moment to educate because "communication skills" may sound like it is not neurodiversity affirming.

However there are ways to support communication that does not focus on neurotypical social skills.
