You notice they’re having trouble falling asleep at night, or they’re crying at the drop of a hat. You’re seeking comfort for your child. A place where they can feel at ease to open up about their thoughts and feelings. A place where they can begin to calm their overthinking and focus. As a therapist, I believe it is important to listen, encourage and advocate for children. I provide an inclusive, comfortable, and nonjudgmental environment where the child can be themselves. A place where the child can work to identify and express their feelings. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and advocacy-based. I believe it is important to focus on setting goals and working on reaching them together. I encourage the child to take part in learning and using the coping skills, and I believe children should be celebrated for their positive achievements.
