I had my second child, my son, in 2017. In a sense I became my own doula. I studied and did a lot of research I knew my rights and my options. This birth was a difference of night and day from my 1st. My labor and delivery was drastically shorter. I didn't have a long hospital stay I was released the following morning. No complications after his birth! I felt completely empowered it was this experience that inspired me to become a certified Doula. I am passionate about helping others experience the birth they desire.

I remember in 2011, when I had my daughter the nurses and doctors kept telling me what they were going to do. I wasn't given a voice.. I didn't know I had choices and options. Her birth was beautiful however it was not the experience I'd hoped for and I did not feel empowered or heard. I didn't know about doulas then. Not to mention there were no doulas of color in my town.

It's a fact that no one knows your body better than you therefore you are your best advocate! It's impossible to make an informed choice without knowing all of your options and choices. As your doula I will take the time to educate my clients so their voices can be heard and they can make the best decision for them and their family.

The service is near and dear to my heart everyone is willing to hold the baby lots of people forget to hold the mother.

+ 3 2hr. visits- I take this time to help with breastfeeding education/skills, infant care education, mental health check-ins for mothers, assist with cleaning or other household chores. I will watch the baby and siblings for parent(s) to enjoy a date or some self care time even if it's just an uninterrupted nap.

*Can purchase the bundle or pay for individual 2 hr time slots.
