El Dorado TrueCare Pharmacy

El Dorado TrueCare Pharmacy Not all pharmacies are the same. Discover the TrueCare difference. Our Pharmacists

We are a locally-owned and operated pharmacy located in El Dorado, Kansas.

As the oldest and only home-owned pharmacy here, we take great pride in our work, our accuracy and our emphasis on excellent customer service. El Dorado TrueCare Pharmacists are Michael Bellesine, Jake Milbradt, Lyndsey Brouhard, Jennifer Clausing, and Dan Davis. Together, they have over fifty years of combined experience. "We take great pride in the level of service we provide each and every pati

ent who enters our doors," explains Michael Bellesine, owner and pharmacist. "As you drive to El Dorado TrueCare, we know you may pass several chain pharmacies. We know you may even ask yourself why you don't just go there on your way home. After all, those other chain pharmacies promise convenience and affordability," states Jake Milbradt, pharmacist. "We are glad that you have chosen us and that you know we not only promise convenience and affordability . . . we deliver what we promise." "Our patients constantly tell us how impressed they are with our exceptionally fast service," says Jennifer Clausing, pharmacist. "The average wait time for a prescription is about four minutes. We believe your time is valuable to you. And if it is valuable to you, it's valuable to us. And we know that, especially when you are not feeling well, you don't want to wait for a prescription that will help ease your pain." "El Dorado TrueCare's technology and staff support is unsurpassed by any other practice setting I have come across. I truly enjoy being able to take the time to actually talk to patients, and having multiple pharmacists and a large number of other employees gives me that opportunity. In most other pharmacies there is often only one pharmacist, and he or she really isn't able to spend the necessary time with patients. This difference really sets TrueCare apart." says Dan Davis, pharmacist.

This article mainly refers to Rite Aid Pharmacies, which aren't really in the Midwest. Primarily due to low insurance reimbursement, Rite Aid is going out of business and closing all of its stores. The prescription files of Rite Aid have been sold to various chain pharmacies in different regions. From what we have heard, it sounds like most of these pharmacies are expecting big increases in prescription counts (some as high as 40-50%) without hiring extra staff to handle it. Using some of these understaffed pharmacies is already dangerous and it's only going to get worse. If you have any family or friends who live in an area where a Rite Aid is closing, please tell them to carefully choose which pharmacy they use!

From efforts to turnaround business to a bankruptcy filing, hundreds of pharmacies have or are expected to close this year. Even if your pharmacy is staying open, you could feel the impacts.

Indian ginseng has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years because it was believed to promote longevity, youthfulness, and mental clarity. Many warriors took it before and after their battles because they believed it would sharpen their minds and restore their strength.

Yesterday, it was announced that Rite Aid, one of the largest pharmacy chains in the US, would be filing for bankruptcy for a second time (the first time was in 2023), and effectively going out of business. Over the last couple of years, we've seen the media pick up on the story that independent pharmacies are being driven out of business by unfairly low payments from prescription insurance companies. But the truth is that it’s NOT just independents. Independent pharmacies may get the publicity (they are willing to talk to the media and everyone loves to root for the small guy), but the abuses of Pharmacy Benefit Managers are truthfully affecting nearly every pharmacy out there.

Corporate chain pharmacies have been closing stores left and right across the country, and the stores that are still open are often staffed so thinly that it leads to long waits and much higher rates of medical errors. If you look at the top four pharmacies in the US, you’ll see that three of them are actually INSURANCE COMPANIES. These three companies are also the top three Pharmacy Benefit Managers (prescription insurance companies) in the country and process around 80% of US prescriptions.

The only pharmacy in the top four that’s not owned by an insurance company is Walgreens. In March, Walgreens was sold to a private equity firm. According to a 2018 article by the Wall Street Journal, this private equity firm’s strategy is to buy struggling retailers and sell off their most valuable pieces. Next, it cuts costs on the leftover pieces to extract money, often forcing the remains into bankruptcy.

Rite Aid’s disappearance is exactly what these giant insurance companies want, and it sounds like there’s a strong possibility that Walgreens could be next. Our country desperately needs Congress to pass laws reining in Pharmacy Benefit Managers while we still have pharmacies left that aren’t owned by insurance companies.
