No grand entrance, no long, winding way—
Just one perfect moment, and there you lay.
Dad caught your body with steady hands,
While Mom remained strong, just as she planned.
Midwife Christy, a voice on the line,
Guiding your way with her calm, distant sign.
And there, in the house where your mom once grew,
Where her dad chased dreams and childhood too,
You took your first breath—on floors that hold
The echoes of stories long and bold.
Dean Gregory, oh what a start—
You’ve filled every room, every corner, each heart.
The world feels new, because you are here—
So small, so loved, so perfectly near.

✨ As we celebrate National Midwifery Week ✨ we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families at FVM —both past and present—who have allowed us the honor of walking beside them on their journey. Somehow she keeps getting finagled into going to another birth in her retirement. Retired? Not retired? It was a fast one & Brandi & Holli arrived to help about 20 min after. She's amazing and so full of love & care for all our sweet mamas. ❤️✨

Choosing a few mantras to use during labor can be incredibly beneficial. If you've never labored with a mantra before, having several options can help you find what resonates in the moment. 💜

✨ Benefits of using a mantra in labor:
🌿 Helps you concentrate on a single thought
🌿 Promotes calmness & lowers stress
🌿 Instills confidence & strength with God’s help
🌿 Encourages rhythm & steady breathing
🌿 Deepens your connection with your baby and with God

If you’ve never labored with a mantra before, consider preparing a few that speak to your heart. One of my favorites draws inspiration from nature:

🌳 Think of trees 🍂— “I am rooted, steady, and strong—breathing in and out.” 🌳

Psalm 1:3 reminds us, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season.”

Embrace the journey, trust God’s design, and let your words nourish you. 🌸

🌾The Fourth Flower in the Garden of Girls 🌾
Not just a birth, but hearts laid bare,✨
With sacred words that filled the air. 🌬️
Each pause, each prayer, each laboring sigh,
Brought Heaven’s nearness drawing nigh. 💫
Three sisters danced, their joy untamed,
To hear at last their sibling’s name.
Another girl! Their hearts took flight. Fourfold beauty, pure delight.
Here she is, sweet Islynn Breeze,
Born with whispers in the trees.🌳🌬️
A breath of peace, a burst of light—🌟

Born July 31st at 6:43 AM | 8 lbs 8 oz

Six days past the date they said,
But not a moment she would trade—
For just before August made its start,
A little girl stole every heart.

The morning light began to rise,

As joy arrived with newborn cries.
A peaceful birth, a moment sweet,
With tiny hands and perfect feet.
So welcome, Hananiah Melody, bright and new,

The world’s been waiting just for you.
With strength and song in every part,
You’ve already danced into our hearts.

In the heart of our home, with love all around,
A miracle blossomed, a joy that we found.
On August the sixth, as the waves danced and swayed,
Our son came to meet us, in bright light arrayed.

With laughter and warmth, our dear family near,
In moments of strength, we conquered each fear.
From whispers of faith to a joyful embrace,
Together forever, in this sacred space.

Welcome, sweet John, a new branch of our tree,
Rooted in love, as strong as can be.
With joy in our hearts, we're now a family of four,
Filled with gratitude, we couldn't ask for more.

Before I could arrive, with sunrise still near,
A new soul was ready — her time was clear.
With breath and bravery, labor found its flow,
And love filled the room with a warm, steady glow.

On the other end of the line, I spoke calm and true,
While Grandma stepped in — as strong women do.
With steady hands and a heart full of grace,
She caught her granddaughter in that sacred space.

A birth not rushed, not led by fear,
Just wisdom and trust, and those held dear.
Three generations, one story begun —
A circle of women welcoming one.
