If you have diabetes, make sure you have a dilated eye exam every year.

Did you know diabetes can damage tiny blood vessels in the eye—even before vision loss begins?

A new study used advanced imaging to spot these early changes in people with diabetic retinopathy. The technique helps doctors see reduced blood flow in a part of the eye called the choriocapillaris, offering a better way to track and manage the disease before it worsens.

The goal? Catch problems early and protect vision.

A subconjunctival hemorrhage happens when one or more blood spots appear on the white of your eye. Depending on how big the spot is, it could take a few days or a few weeks to resolve.

When was your last eye exam? If it’s been a while, here’s why it matters: Regular eye exams are the only way to detect glaucoma early.

Glaucoma often has no symptoms until vision loss starts to set in. But catching it early means treatment can help you preserve your sight. And if you have a close family member with glaucoma, you’re 10 times more likely to get it.

Don’t wait for symptoms. A simple eye exam could protect your vision for years to come.
