A big standing ovation and sincere thank you to Carter and Mike with Music Theatre Wichita for visiting some of our homes this afternoon and honoring us with their wonderful vocal and theatrical talents. They shared some song selections during their mini musicals including songs from 'A Grand Night for Singing' which ComfortCare Homes is proud to sponsor this season! When Vicky, our very own engagement team member brings her sweet pup to come hang out at the houses the residents are so very happy!

We had the most wonderful morning at Freedom Hooves Therapeutic Riding Center riding horses, brushing horses, and just general horsing around this morning! So grateful to our teams and all of the volunteers that helped make this outing a successful and enjoyable one for all! We'll be going back in November too! Equine Therapy is a an amazing thing and such a good resource for us here locally and for our residents.

Dog Days of Summer are still here so let us introduce you to VeVe who lives at one of our Morningside homes!
VeVe has been living with us since April 2024 and she has been a wonderful companion to all of our residents! She is playful and loves attention. She can also be sneaky and hides food, snacks, and toys in the backyard and in blankets. She loves to run in the backyard, roll around in the grass, chase the water sprinklers, play fetch, and will roll over for all the belly rubs! She enjoys bacon and our homemade dog treats as well! She is loved by all and loves to greet everyone when they visit! She makes the best faces too!

Continuing with our Dog Days of Summer pup pal posts, let us introduce you to FRAN!!!
Fran has been living with us in our Chalet home since June of 2023 and she comes with all the style you can stand! She loves treats, but mostly prefers cat treats. She adores getting belly rubs and will roll on the floor until she gets them. Fran always has the fanciest collars and although she is quiet, she knows who her friends are in the home and she loves to cozy up to them. Fran was mom of 2 litters before she came to live with us and that mama energy runs deep with her still, looking after our residents. She really enjoys rolling around in the grass out back when the residents go on a walk outside on the walking path. Fran is a gem of a dog and we are happier since she has been with us!

We are grateful for our new care partners at Hunter Health and especially to Rosalie, Davette, and Alan for taking such good care of our residents dental health. We are looking forward to working with you and making these wonderful experiences for our folks.

It's National Dog Day!!!
And also if we were having "normal in August temps" it would be Dog Days of Summer too!
This week we will be highlighting our favorite pup pals living in our homes.
Stormy is our highlight pup of the day!
Stormy has been living with us since 2018
He is very protective and bonded to the residents and caregivers who are in his home. He is the biggest "scaredy cat" being afraid of bubbles, balloons, and fly swatters. He is incredibly friendly and loves to be loved on and curl up close next to his people. To know Stormy is to love Stormy!
