Last Wednesday, September 10th my Dad passed away. He was battling an infection from knee replacement surgery and his body fought as hard as it could.
There will be no service, so all I need to do now is to return to work. I planned to return today, but it was a false start. Tomorrow is the day I plan to return.
Please enjoy the picture of he and I at his Master Pilot Ceremony. The name of Master Pilot is issued by the FAA for 50 years in aviation incident free.

This last week I got the privilege of helping little 8lb 14oz girly come into the world. Massage helped her head and shoulder get into to the right place inside very petite mom to make her entrance. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Welcome sweet baby girl, tried very hard to make us birthday twins. 💖

What a crazy past couple of months! Kneaded Healing Massage has taken quite a few kicks. My little princess Wittle passed, a dear friend and mentor passed and my sister has passed. Then Covid hit with post Covid pneumonia. I am many things, but I am no victim. Today was second full day back to work and I feel tired but good. Halloween is a favorite holiday and I am looking forward to seeking and finding joyful things. And, when I’m in my room with my hands on a muscle that is cranky, I am in my element.
Thank you to my clients that have ridden this roller coaster with me, I appreciate each of you. I look forward to embracing my new normal.

Janell, owner of Kneaded Healing Massage, here. My sister in Washington has been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, though she notes it's only considered Stage 4 due to its spread to her spine. After a severe reaction to chemotherapy and a stint in ICU, her cancer's progression has been reassessed, and her outlook has changed. I'm keeping my clients informed as I continue business as usual, with the understanding that I may need to depart suddenly to be with my sister.
Wichita is my home and it’s my fabulous clients that make it home, so the business and I both will stay. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.
