As the light shifts and the days grow shorter, many of us feel a quiet call to turn inward.

The body remembers the rhythm of the seasons—slowing down, softening, conserving energy. This is not withdrawal, but wisdom. A natural hibernation that allows us to heal, restore, and return with strength.

It is okay to protect your time. It is okay to choose stillness. It is okay to reserve your energy for caring for yourself.

Yoga and massage can be gentle companions in this season—therapeutic ways to soothe the nervous system, support your immunity, and offer your body the deep rest it deserves.

If you feel called to schedule a massage, a private meditation, or learn more about yoga classes that focus on nervous system regulation, I’d love to hold that space for you. šŸŒ™āœØ

As you move through this season, may you listen closely to your needs, give yourself grace, and honor the sacred balance of doing and being.

Self care isn't luxury, it's life skills.

Take care of yourself. Be an example for your young humans. Include them in this radical practice.

Why do we applaud habits and lifestyles that stress the body to it's breaking point?

You do not need to schedule a massage or attend yoga classes to regulate and restore your nervous system.

Do these things help? Yes

BUT

What other ways nourish your nervous system that are readily available that you can do with your people?

-wrap up in a blanket and sit close to your people
-play Simon Says with your people (never too old for this game)
-Hum a song together
-Sit back to back with your people and gently rock forwards/backwards with inhales/exhales
-Take off your shoes and walk in the grass, try to pick up grass with your toes

In a world that so often feels like chaos, we have to create our own peace.

My painting of the moon reflecting light onto the Earth was born from that desire—to soften the edges, to remember light exists even in the darkest sky.

I’m reminded of Mary Oliver’s wisdom in American Primitive:

ā€œTo live in this world
you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.ā€

— ā€œIn Blackwater Woodsā€ by Mary Oliver

May we carry love, light, and release with gentle hands.

Yoga gives me peace. Muay Thai is giving me power. The ultimate ā€œglitter bomb with sharp edgesā€ energy.

Movement doesn’t live in one box. It can be flowy and zen, or fiery and fierce. Lately, I’ve been diving into Muay Thai—and it feels like discovering a whole new superpower hiding in my muscles. The energy is electric. The empowerment is next-level. It’s functional strength meets spicy confidence, and I’m here for it.

I’m still bubbly, still flowy, but I’m also ā€œdo no harm, take no sh*tā€. Moving your body isn’t about fitting a mold—it’s about trying new things, surprising yourself, and letting your power shine in unexpected places.
